We are a "Not For Profit" Organization chartered by Congress comprised of U.S. Veterans and their Family Members to represent and promote their interests.
As a Nationwide Fraternal Organization, membership has many opportunities and benefits.
Sons of AMVETS
Sons of AMVETS is a nationwide service organization founded in 1983 comprising male descendants of American veterans.
As part of the AMVETS family, the Sons are united in service and committed to improving the quality of life, advocating legislation for increased benefits and care, and providing and supporting charitable assistance to veterans, their families, and our community.
Our Local Squads are grouped by State and District, each with programs and goals in addition to our National Commander's Project.

Our District 12 mission is to facilitate the Squad's collaboration on common goals, share information, and support each other's functions. We also support the State and National Commander's Projects by participating in and raising funds for those projects. We are always looking for ways to help and support local Veterans and Veterans facilities.
Our Term of Office Runs from June to the following June.
Robert Grose PNC
Robert is a Past National Commander and hails from Mansfields Squad 26
We are lucky and privileged to have such a great resource to guide and oversee Sons Ohio District 12.
Bob sets the agenda presides over our meetings. Bob oversees all District 12 functions and represent us as our top officer and leader. Bob does his best to be available to all squadrons and help navigate through any issues and answer questions that our District Squads may have.

Brandon Cox
Brandon is a very active Sons member from Galion Squad 1979 that has held many offices.
Brandon is our Leader in Membership Activities for the District and acts as aide to our Commander. He is the presiding officer in the Commanders absence . Brandon has shown himself to be a great team member in all areas of our organization.
Brandon is available to help you get answers and is known have good ideas to over come your squads obstacles great and small.

Robert Quale
Robert is part of Squad 51 in Thornville. He is part of one of Ohios Largest Sons Squads.
Roberts greatest responsibilities are overseeing Districts Projects and Project Reporting. He assists our squads in District 12 fulfill their duty to file them correctly. He is a helpful team member in all the District 12 endeavors.

John Hitzemann
John Is Commander of Sons Squad at 89 in Columbus and member of Sad Sacks 114.
John has the responsibility to coordinate and promote all District 12 fund raising activities. Helping the other team members in their duties is a top priority as well as promoting all functions, activities and meetings in our District.

Aaron Brewer
Besides Arrons Duties with Galions Squad 1979 he serves as the District Adutant.
As the Adjutant, Aaron provides the administrative support for the Sons District 12 and is charged with taking minutes and maintaining all non-financial records. He is also responsible for correspondence and handles the routine business of the Sons District 12. He is our official contact person for the District and serves as the Liaison Officer between the AMVETS, his Community and the other levels of the organization.

Jay Williams II PNC PDC
Jay has held many offices in the District and State Levels as well as our Top National Office as Commander of the National Sons of AMVETS. He brings a wealth of Knowledge and Experience to our District.
As the Finance Officer, Jay is responsible for all receipts, disbursements, and accounting of the Districts money.

Ralph Cardmonde
Ralph Is Commander of Sons Squad at 2000 in Columbus and a valued member of Sons of AMVETS District 12.
Ralph is responsible for maintaining the current copies of the Sons of AMVETS Constitution and By-Laws.
He interprets the Constitution and By-Laws, and the Standing Rules as they pertain to what the Sons District 12 are doing.
Ralph advises the Commander, Officers, Committee Chairmen and members on all matters of legal significance. He serves as an Ex-Officio member of the Appeals Board and serves on all Committees, with the Commander, as the legal advisor of Sons District 12.
He is the Chairman for the Standing Rules Committee for the District.

Kim Aidrey
Kim Is Commander of Sons Squad at 51 in Thornville and State Officer in the Sad Sacks.
Kim as The Provost Marshal is the custodian of the Colors. He is responsible for them at all meetings and ceremonies where they are used. He leads the Squadron in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and helps the Commander maintain order during meetings.
Kim shares his knowledge gained by years of involvement in our organization and is a valued member that is will to help our local squadrons with Questions.

Clarence Campbell
Clarence as our Chaplain, is a member of the Commander's Staff and acts as advisor and consultant to the Commander in all matters relating to religion, morals, and morale as affected by religion. Clarence assists the Commander and the officers with integrating the principles of good moral conduct and citizenship in the District. He opens and closes meetings with a prayer.
He can represent the District at Funerals and help our local Squadron's Chaplains that are in need of guidance.

Arthur Davenport
Arthur is another Son from Squad 51 Thornport and has served as Commander of District 12.
As Past Commander Arthur is on the E-Board and the Executive Committee. He primarily provides continuity in the leadership and to be a source of information for the other officers as to what decisions have been made in the past and why they were made.
With the knowledge gained as a past commander he is a great resource to help our local squadrons with questions and guidance.
